I think people kind of viewed it as a “lesser” version of Firealpaca at first, but it has developed into a pretty different thing. There were only a few similarities at first, then about a year or two ago, the name and brand was changed to Medibang Paint. This included textures, tones, backgrounds similar to manga-production (”Materials”) as well as panel tools. Long answer: The way I understand it, Medibang Paint was forked from Firealpaca by some of the people working on Firealpaca, they named it Cloudalpaca, which had tools more geared towards comics-making. Use the /tags link at the top of fpacatuto to see tutorials, custom brushes or other reblogged and tagged things linked on it. If you go to or on the top of this blog, you will find more info and other websites. Both seem to develop differently, as MBP keeps adding more internet-related saving and comics features while FA is still oriented towards illustration/comics without the extra web-saving features and has a neat animation feature. Because they are connected in this way though, it’s possible to use them in tandem or just separately because they are both stand-alone from each other. The short answer is: MBP grew out of FA as a fork by a separate team, but has quickly become a more different program. Hi! it’s ok, it’s asked often and can be confusing at first. Normalgirlhala asked: hello its me again! sorry for the inconvience im just really new to digital artare firealpaca and medibang connected somehow?
